In 2010, the club was acquired by King Power's Kun Vichai Srivadhanaprabha, who became chairman in 2011, to a consortium called the Thai-led Asian Football Investments.
His son Khun Aiyawat Srivadhanaprava is one of two vice chairmen. The Srivaddhanaprabha family is now the only owners of the club. The new owner invested heavily in the Leicester City Football Club.
This was a major factor in the successful record-breaking season, with Fox returning to the Premier League as the championship winner in the 2013/14 season. In the 2014/15 season, there was Leicester City's 'Great Escape.'
With nine games remaining, Leicester City, the lowest-ranked team in the Premier League, won seven games, recorded one draw and one loss, ranking 14th.

On Saturday, October 27, 2018, club president Kun Vichai Srivadhanaprabah was killed in a helicopter accident with four others outside King Power Stadium.
His son Kuhn Aiyawat vowed to carry on his father's legacy.
