History
Manchester United's history dates back to the establishment of Newton Heath LYR F.C. (Newton Heath LYR F.C.) in 1878, the Newton Heath branch of the Yorkshire Railway. Uniforms were uniform with green and yellow symmetrical colors. In 1892, he cut ties with the railway branch and changed its name to "Newton Heath F.C." to become an independent club, and participated in the Football League. In 1902, a debt of 25002500 put the club in jeopardy, which could happen again with J. H. Davis' investment. According to the story, then club captain Harry Stafford boasted his dog St. Bernard at a fund-raising event, and Davis approached Stafford to buy a dog. But the club's captain turned down the offer and instead persuaded Davis to invest in the club. Meanwhile, "Manchester Central" and "Manchester Celtic" were also proposed in connection with the club's name, which was decided upon by Italian descendant Luis Rocca after proposing Manchester United. The name of Manchester United was confirmed on April 26, 1902. Davis switched to red and white instead of green and gold, the indexes of the existing uniforms.
Since James West resigned as manager on September 28, 1902, Ernest Mangdale has been named secretary-general and has been tasked with promoting the team to the first division. His first attempt ended in fifth place in Division 2. Mannal determined that the club needed a new face, recruited Harry Morgan, Dick Dirkworth and John Fiken, and spent 400 pounds to bring Charlie Roberts. Eventually, he finished second in the 1905-06 season of the second division and finally got promoted to the first division. In 1908, he won the first championship in club history. And he won the FA Cup for the first time the following year. He won the 1910-11 season and moved to Old Trafford in the meantime. On February 19, 1910, he played his first game against Liverpool FC at Old Trafford. In 1922, he was relegated to the second division, but in 1925, he returned to the first division. However, in 1931, he was called a yo-yo club (a team that repeats promotion and relegation) After finishing 14th in the 1938-39 season, he began to stay stable in the first division.
